The music department is very excited to announce that Senior Tanner Stephens has been selected to be a part of the ILMEA All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble. This ensemble will meet in Peoria, Illinois on January 25 & 26, 2018 during the Illinois Music Educator Conference (IMEC). They will be under the direction of Corey F. Jones and will preform on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center Theater.
Just a reminder that the A-C Central Post Prom Committee is sponsoring its Christmas Bazaar on Sunday, December 10th from 11 am to 5 pm in the A-C Central High School Gym in Ashland. Come enjoy a cozy and festive afternoon of Christmas shopping, entertainment and refreshment. A variety of vendors will be present, including Pampered Chef, Thirty-One, Lula Roe, LipSense, Happiness Trails Clothing and many more. Seasonal music will be provided by A-C Central's band and choir students, as well as music on ukuleles and the piano from 1-3 pm.
The Scholastic book fair is going on in the Middle School/High School library all this week. Students will be able to purchase during homerooms or after school. The book fair will also be open 1 hour before and after the music programs on Friday, December 8th. You can also shop here:

A-C Central Homecoming was held on Saturday, December 2nd. Brock Pettit was crowned Homecoming King and Grace Danner was crowned Homecoming Queen.
A-C Central students competed in the Homecoming Olympics on Friday, December 1st. Juniors won the Olympic Events, while Seniors won the entire Homecoming week.
Michael Clair from State Farm Insurance came on Friday, December 1st to talk to Mrs. Newbold's Business English class about car insurance.
It's getting festive around A-C Central High School and Middle School. Christmas decor and art projects are starting to pop up around the building.
Homecoming week has been in full swing this week at A-C Central High School and the classes have been competing to construct the best bulletin board for the dance, Midnight Masquerade.
